In the vineyard of Viarigi, which surrounds the small Romanesque church of San Marziano, from which it derives its name, are grown grapes Ruchè, organic.
This is an ancient Piedmontese grape with origin still uncertain, "magical and mysterious but unforgettable" - ndr Enza Cavallero -, and yet "amazing... with its sweet aggressiveness" - ndr Rolf Kaufmann -, semi-aromatic variety, whose cultivation and name are limited to the hilly area of Castagnole Monferrato, from which it derives its name.
After a selective manual harvest normally in the first half of September, follows the traditional vinification of grapes in purity with maceration of 8/10 days, then, the rest for a few months in steel.
The colour is a bright ruby red, with a violet nail, captivating for its aroma all played on floral and fruity notes of raspberry, rose and forest strawberry. In the mouth the taste is satisfying, pleasant with a dry finish.

Intense ruby red color with garnet hints. Complex and full nose, with clear hints of red fruit, cherry and vanilla. Enveloping spicy nuances.
Straw yellow color with greenish reflections. Very delicate but intense and persistent aroma with fruity notes, white flowers and distinctly mineral hints.
